The essential analyser to determine the shelf life of a product
A cleaning kit is available separately
The WaterLab Water Activity Meter represents the latest advancements in water activity measurement (aW), serving as a crucial tool for quality control of products and ingredients across various industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and herbal sectors. It's the ultimate solution when assessing the shelf life of a product, especially when determining the risk of microbial development over time. Unlike many other instruments that gauge related or secondary parameters, the WaterLab features a dew point sensor, ensuring that it measures real water activity (aW) directly. Additionally, its innovative methods of determination enable operators to optimise analysis times, even when dealing with samples that exhibit a wide range of water activity concentrations.
Dew Point Sensor
Using dew point technology, water activity (aW) is determined when thermal equilibrium is reached between the liquid water phase in the sample and the water vapor phase in the headspace. This is achieved by measuring the mirror temperature at the moment of dew point formation. In compliance with ISO 18787:2017 regulations, the sensor is renowned for its accuracy, speed, and reliability. WaterLab features a sensor block with a front opening, facilitating easy sample placement and cleaning. Additionally, it is equipped with a fan to ensure homogenous conditions and features a highly sealed chamber to prevent environmental interference. The combination of a dew point sensor with a 7" touch-screen graphic display allows for analysis speed and accuracy, as well as user-friendly operations and streamlined data flow.
