Rotary Evaporation System for Distillation and Separation Applications
The RV-21A is a rotary evaporator built for distillation and separation work in medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical development, chromatography, and petrochemical laboratories. Evaporation is accelerated through three combined mechanisms: reducing system pressure to lower the solvent's boiling point, rotating the sample flask to increase its effective surface area, and applying controlled heat to the solution. The evaporated solvent then passes through a cooled glass condenser, where it recondenses for collection.
Reference performance conditions: a rotation speed of 120 rpm, water bath set to 40 °C, coolant set to 10 °C, and a 1 L rotary bottle charged with 500 ml water, at an ambient temperature of 20 °C and AC 220 V 50 Hz.
The RV-21A is suited to distillation and separation work across medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical development, chromatography, and petrochemical laboratories.
