Product Overview
The Cellometer Spectrum is a modular image cytometry system that delivers flow cytometry-like data without the complexity of a fluidic instrument. Two user-changeable fluorescence optics modules can be selected from six available filter sets, allowing the instrument to be configured for specific assays and reagents. Cell images, counts, size measurements, and viability calculations are produced in under 30 seconds per sample. FCS Express 6 is included for population data visualisation as histograms, scatter plots, dot plots, and contour plots. The non-fluidic, disposable chamber format eliminates washing steps and makes the system compatible with fragile cell types.

Instrument Capabilities
User-Changeable Fluorescence Filters: The Spectrum holds two fluorescence optics modules simultaneously. Select from six available filter sets and swap them without tools to reconfigure the instrument for different assays or fluorophores.
Flow-Like Data Visualisation: Cell population data can be plotted as histograms, scatter plots, dot plots, or contour plots using FCS Express 6 software (two licences included), enabling familiar analysis workflows without a flow cytometer.
Pattern-Recognition Software: Proprietary algorithms count individual cells within clusters, handle irregular-shaped cells, apply size-based counting, and exclude debris. Results can be visually verified from archived cell images.
Non-Fluidic, Disposable Chambers: No washing or priming between samples. Disposable counting chambers reduce contamination risk, are compatible with fragile cell types, and require no routine maintenance of fluid pathways.
Dual-Fluorescence Primary Cell Viability: AO/PI staining enables accurate viability counting in mixed populations, including bone marrow, peripheral blood, and cord blood, without a lysis step. Red blood cells, platelets, and debris produce no fluorescent signal.
IQ/OQ Validation And GMP/GLP: Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification. Reagents and protocols are available. On-site IQ/OQ performance and a GMP/GLP software module are available as optional accessories.
