Product Overview

The Celigo is a plate-based benchtop image cytometer that captures whole-well images across microplate formats from 6-well to 1536-well, including T-flasks and petri dishes, without removing cells from their culture environment. A proprietary F-theta scan lens and galvanometric scanning mirrors provide uniform illumination and flat, edge-to-edge image contrast across the full well area. Brightfield and four fluorescent channels support a broad range of applications from label-free adherent cell counting to complex immuno-oncology assays, 3D tumour model analysis, and monoclonality verification. A complete 384-well plate is imaged and analysed in under 2 minutes, with quantitative results available for each well as soon as it is captured.

Whole-Well Imaging with Uniform Illumination: The proprietary F-theta lens combined with galvanometric scanning mirrors delivers uniform illumination and superior edge-to-edge contrast across the full well area, including at well edges where conventional optics introduce distortion.

Label-Free Adherent Cell Analysis: Brightfield imaging quantifies adherent cells directly in the plate without trypsinisation, avoiding cell loss and preserving experimental conditions. Cells can be measured at multiple time points in the same vessel.

2D And 3D Culture Compatibility: Supports both adherent and suspension cells in 2D cultures as well as spheroids, embryoid bodies, patient-derived organoids, and other 3D models. Readouts include growth, viability, invasion, and migration.

High-Speed Concurrent Analysis: Scanning and analysis run concurrently. Quantitative results for the first well are available before the rest of the plate is scanned. A 384-well plate completes in under 2 minutes.

Monoclonality Verification: The Celigo Monoclonality Report detects and screens single cell-derived colonies across multiple time points, supporting single cell per well verification for cell line development workflows.
