Sample Compatibility
Extracts DNA efficiently from:
- Mammalian tissues: mouse tail, ear snips, liver, kidney, lung
- Human saliva
- Plant tissues: leaves
- Fish fins and bird feathers (with extended incubation)
Storage & Stability
- Stable at +4 °C for up to 3 months
- For long-term storage, keep at –20 °C
- DNA extracts are stable at -20 °C for one week or long term at -80 °C
Simple Two-Step Protocol
- Add Q-Extract solution to the sample
- Incubate in a heating block or thermocycler – done in two heat steps
No additional reagents or cleanup steps required. DNA is ready for PCR immediately.
