Condensation-free cell culture conditions across four chamber sizes, with integrated sterilisation and advanced access control
The Memmert ICO series is a range of CO₂ incubators designed for cell culture applications that require stable, reproducible growth conditions. Four chamber sizes from 56 to 243 litres address both small-scale research needs and higher-throughput laboratory environments.
Precise temperature control, active humidification and dehumidification, and optimised airflow management together ensure condensation-free stability inside the working chamber at 37 °C and 95 % rh. CO₂ concentration is adjustable from 0 to 20 %, and optional O₂ control extends the range to anaerobic and hypoxic applications (1 to 20 % O₂).
The ICO series features an integrated HEPA filtration system that turns over the complete chamber air volume every 60 seconds, supporting consistent air quality inside the working chamber. Decontamination is carried out by proven 180 °C hot air sterilisation. The chamber interior is constructed from high-quality stainless steel, designed to minimise hard-to-clean surface areas.

- Optional O₂ control: Extends application range to anaerobic and hypoxic cell culture. O₂ setting range: 1 to 20 %.
- Touch display and myChamber connectivity: Integrated touch display provides direct on-unit control. Remote monitoring, centralised device management, and workflow integration are available via Memmert's myChamber digital ecosystem.
- Enhanced access control: User management with audit trail. Chamber access can be secured via RFID or fingerprint authentication, with remote monitoring for out-of-hours sample oversight.
- Low-profile design and stackability: Reduced overall height across all ICO models frees bench and floor space. All model sizes can be stacked. The upper unit's display can optionally be repositioned to a lower position for ergonomic access.
