The Tesalys STERIPLUS™ 40 is the optimal solution for safe on-site inactivation of infectious waste. Its integrated TESASHRED™ system not only significantly reduces the waste's volume and weight but also ensures deep and thorough treatment.

Advantages of the STERIPLUS™ 40:

  • Ergonomic Design: The STERIPLUS™ 40 boasts an ergonomic design, making it user-friendly and easily accessible.
  • Quick Installation: This system is straightforward to set up and can be quickly deployed on-site.
  • Efficient Processing: The STERIPLUS™ 40 provides fast on-site processing, with cycles ranging from 30 to 50 minutes, eliminating storage issues.

To avoid the costs and risks associated with biohazardous waste storage and transportation, especially for health care providers generating smaller volumes, the Tesalys STERIPLUS™ System has been developed with the following objectives:

  • User-friendly for waste generators.
  • Flexibility to be set up as close as possible to the waste source.
  • Compliance with timeframes for biohazardous waste generation and disposal.
  • Utilisation of advanced, easily validated technology.
  • Adaptability to the amount of waste being disposed of.
  • Ability to handle small, immediate waste flows.
  • Cost-effective investment.

The Tesalys STERIPLUS™ System is a disinfection pre-treatment solution for biohazardous waste, according to the French standard NF X30-503-1. It combines a steriliser (autoclave) with an integrated shredder. This system first shreds the waste and then undergoes an autoclave cycle using steam at 135°C (275°F). Post-treatment, the biohazardous waste is transformed into material akin to municipal solid waste, which can then be disposed of like standard industrial or household waste. Environmental consciousness has been at the forefront of Tesalys design considerations. Apart from treating the emissions and effluents produced by the equipment, the system is energy and water-efficient due to its heat-recovery mechanisms.

(1) 30-35 minutes for test loads as per the NF X30-503-1 standard.

(2) Cycle times may vary based on the type of materials, waste density, humidity, quantity of liquids, etc. For loads with high liquid content, the cycle time can be longer. Up to 50 minutes, depending on the waste density.

(3) Based on an average cycle time of 45 min. (40 min. of cycle + 5 min. unloading/loading time).

(4) The quantity of liquids allowed might vary depending on the application (urine bags, blood bags, food testing bags, etc.).

All the data given in this catalog is non-binding and given as a guide only. Treatment capacities, cycle times, and consumptions are given as mere examples and may vary depending on the type of waste, installation conditions, operator’s availability, and skills. Consumption is calculated on the basis of a standard cycle of the machine. For consumption with cooling of the drain and/or the virus + kit, please contact us.
