Product Overview
The XS Basic Conductivity Standard at 5.0 µS/cm is a ready-to-use aqueous reference solution for the calibration and verification of conductivity electrodes and measurement systems. It is supplied in a 280 ml glass bottle and is traceable to NIST Standard Reference Materials, making it suited for routine process verification and quality control where traceability documentation is required. The solution is colourless, non-hazardous, and carries no ADR transport restrictions.
XS Solutions Range Overview
The XS Solutions range from Giorgio Bormac covers three measurement parameters. This product falls within the conductivity standards segment.
- pH Buffer Solutions: Reference buffers at pH 4.01, 7.00, 9.00, 9.21, and 10.01. Available in 250 ml, 500 ml, and 5 L formats. Coloured for easy identification. Lifetime 24 months.
- Conductivity Standards: Standards from 1.3 µS/cm to 12 880 µS/cm. Values at 1.3 and 5.0 µS/cm are supplied in 280 ml glass bottles. Higher values in 500 ml ergonomic bottles. Lifetime 12 months (1.3 and 5.0 µS/cm); 24 months for others.
- Redox Standards: ORP reference standards at 200 mV, 475 mV, and 650 mV (at 25 °C). Available in 250 ml, 500 ml, and 5 l formats. Accuracy ± 5 mV.

XS Basic (NIST Traceability)
Each solution is supplied with a Certificate of Analysis from the Giorgio Bormac internal laboratory. Traceable to NIST and PTB Standard Reference Materials via an unbroken chain of comparisons. Well-suited to routine sensor verification and general process control.
XS Professional (DANAK/DFM Certificate)
Conductivity standards certified by calibration at DFM, the Danish Institute of Fundamental Metrology. DAkkS and DANAK are accepted by accreditation bodies within the scope of EA and ILAC. Suited to regulated environments requiring third-party accredited certification under UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025.
