Petrifilm® Yeast and Mold Count Plates, PK1000

Neogen^® Petrifilm^® Yeast and Mold Count Plates are a sample-ready culture medium system containing nutrients supplemented with antibiotics, a cold-water-soluble gelling agent, and an indicator facilitating yeast and mold enumeration. The Petrifilm^® Yeast and Mold Count Plates are used for the enumeration of yeast and mold in the food, beverage, and bottled water industries. The Petrifilm^® Yeast and Mold Count Plates provide results between 3 to 5 days. Yeasts are easily differentiated from molds on the plate:

• Yeasts are typically indicated by small, blue-green colonies with defined edges and no foci.
• Molds are indicated by large, variably coloured colonies with diffuse edges and centre foci.
