Agar No. 2 Bacteriological is a clear bacteriological agar with high gel strength that is compatible with all culture media. Agar No. 2 Bacteriological is not intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions in humans.
A bacteriological agar that gives a firm gel at working concentrations of 1.0 to 1.5%, which is reasonably clear. This agar is recommended for all culture media except sensitivity testing media and those where absolute clarity is advantageous.
