Dessicators

Desiccators are sealed vessels for drying and moisture-sensitive storage of samples and reagents. Typical features include a ground flat flange with greaseable seal, a knobbed glass or plastic lid, a porcelain perforated plate or shelf, and, on vacuum models, a stopcocked lid for evacuation. Used with a suitable desiccant, they support drying, cooling to prevent moisture uptake after heating, and short-term storage of hygroscopic materials.
