These cassettes are designed for the histological storage of biopsy samples and specimens embedded in paraffin. They come equipped with a dual-locking mechanism, ensuring secure sealing throughout the processing phase. The front portion of the cassette has a rough surface to facilitate the use of graphite pencils for labeling. Alternatively, you can use specialised markers that are resistant to aggressive chemicals and acids. You may also opt for specialised imprinting cassettes. The internal measurements are 30 x 25 x 5 mm, while the external measurements are 40 x 28 x 6 mm. These cassettes are fully compatible with Histo-Line filing cabinet systems and high-capacity archival storage solutions. The cassettes are made from acetal copolymer (POM polyacetal), a material noted for its excellent stability under high temperatures. It is also resistant to microwave treatments, solvents, acids, and bases, making it ideal for the processing and embedding of specimens in paraffin.
