Choose molecular biology grade Chelex 100, a weak cation exchange resin, for DNA or RNA preparation for downstream detection by methods such as PCR, RT-qPCR, RT-ddPCR or LAMP.
- High degree of selectivity for divalent over monovalent ions (ca. 5,000 to 1)
- Strong attraction for transition metals, even in highly concentrated salt solutions
