Product Overview

asecos SL-LINE Safety Storage Cabinets for Acids and Alkalis

Corrosion-resistant cabinets with separately divided compartments for the safe, on-site storage of acids and alkalis

The SL-LINE range is built for the storage of aggressive, non-flammable hazardous materials directly in the working area. Each cabinet has a body of powder-coated sheet steel with an interior of melamine resin and flame-retardant special plates, giving a corrosion-resistant storage environment for acids and alkalis kept close to the point of use.

Acids and alkalis are kept safely separated in two hermetically divided storage compartments, with a dividing wall available in either a vertical or horizontal orientation depending on the configuration. An integrated aeration and venting system, with metal-free air ducts for corrosion resistance, supports the safe handling of vapours from the stored substances.

Cabinets in the range are GS-tested and conform to the requirements of EN 16121 and EN 16122.

Key Features

  • Safe, separate storage: two hermetically divided storage compartments keep acids and alkalis apart, with a vertical or horizontal dividing wall and an integrated aeration and venting system using corrosion-resistant, metal-free air ducts.
  • Pull-out shelves: shelves pull out complete with a highly resistant plastic sump, giving a quick overview of stored hazardous substances; in the event of a leak, the tray lifts out for emptying and cleaning.
  • Ventilation: integrated air ducts with a DN 75 connection point for a technical exhaust system, supporting the extraction of hazardous vapours before they can build up inside the cabinet.
  • Separately lockable storage box: an optional storage box for hydrofluoric acid, including a corrosion-resistant polypropylene sump, is available as its own lockable compartment.
  • Cylinder lock: the door locks with a cylinder lock that can be integrated into an existing site locking system.
  • Mobility and fit: optional castors with a plinth allow the cabinet to be repositioned, and attachment covers allow the cabinet height to be matched to different laboratory furniture systems, including fitting beneath a fume cupboard.
  • Metal cladding option: available with metal cladding for uniform integration alongside existing laboratory furniture and fittings.

Typical Applications
